Election Recap

Many Thanks to all of you folks who supported me and Ballot Issue 2A. I lost by 10 votes. Though Ballot Issue 2A won in Ward 1, it lost city-wide.

I considered requesting a hand recount, but was told by Boulder County that all I could get was a machine recount and it would cost me $8,500. At the time, I had $.85 in my campaign account. A nice fellow at the County asked someone in the Secretary of State's office if they would consider giving me a recount. They said "No." I find it interesting that the Secretary of State has now decertified the very machines that were used to count Louisville's ballots!

I want to thank all of you fine folks who took the time to talk with me during my campaign. Meeting you and hearing about your hopes, dreams, and concerns for our city was a wonderful, life changing experience. If I had it to do over again, I would.
