I met my future husband, Pat Hubbard, while singing on the stage of the old Hungry Farmer (now the Boulder Dinner Theater) in 1974. Pat and I were married in 1976 in Santa Cruz, California. Pat and I spent our early adulthood making music for a living. We sang on stages, in studios, and worked as songwriters for many years. A few of the songs we wrote were "covered" (recorded) by other artists. Our daughter, Erin, was born in 1990 and we decided that we were going to raise her in Boulder County. We landed in Louisville in the fall of 1991. I worked for a number of years as a legal assistant and, in 1995 turned to technical writing, working for various local software companies. In 1996, I took a leap of faith and established my own website design company, Earthshine Design. As a principal of Earthshine Design, I create sites for a number of businesses and nonprofits (both local and elsewhere) and have provided pro bono services to charitable nonprofits including Boulder County AIDS project and Blue Sky Bridge. In 2001, three sites that I designed won:
